Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to conduct sustainability compliance efforts and take on a role as a key member of the Sustainability/Environmental Compliance team. You will collaborate across the organization to define, develop, and drive our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program. Working with your team, you will lead the implementation of initiatives to strengthen the company's environmental and social efforts. The person in this position is responsible for conflict minerals reporting, RoHS Directive, REACH, WEEE, eWaste regulations, carbon footprint, energy efficiency regulations and industry environmental norms and RBA (formerly EICC) enforcement. The person will also be responsible for supply chain survey and document collection for risk assessment, dealing with enterprise customers environmental policies, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the policies and initiatives of, and ensuring compliance across the organization, with: RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CDP, RBA, Ca Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, Lithium Battery Shipping Regulations, and Energy Star Requirements, amongst others. 
• Conducts environmental compliance audits at various key facilities according to established policy and guidelines, and tracks the resolution of any deficiencies noted in the audits.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, green building, and renewable energy. 
• Provides compliance support to all divisions, reviewing requirements for plans for different states to ensure the company is in compliance and determining the plans are updated as required
• Reviews internal documents prepared by other departments, and prepares documents as needed, related to environmental/sustainability compliance and regulatory issues.
• Works with other departmental staff, contractors and/or regulatory agency personnel in resolving and investigating violations of environmental regulations and permit requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required-  Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field is preferred.

• 2-5 years of work experience working on environmental, sustainability, corporate social responsibility or related matters.

• Prior knowledge/experience with EU RoHS, REACH, China RoHS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, etc.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, and ability to utilize database systems.

• Strong written and oral communication skills, including effective speaking and presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to lead meetings.

• Effective project management and organizational skills with a focus on results. 

• Knowledge of state and federal environmental requirements as well as existing environmental regulations and laws in other countries

• Ability to effectively and professionally interface with multiple levels of internal stakeholders, outside contractors, and regulatory agencies.

• Ability and willingness to travel to other locations

• A good working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental requirements is required

• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects at one time.
