Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of
blade server products for cloud, HPC, datacenter and other applications. This is a key product management role driving new product development where communication among local and remote teams and on-site product leadership is critical to delivering new products time to market. In addition to developing new state-of-the-art systems, you are expected to collaborate with Marketing and Sales departments to promote blade server products and interact with customers directly to influence the purchasing decision. As a Senior Product Manager, you will also use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for the blade server product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plans. Ultimately, the Senior Product Manager will become a core member of the blade server product management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Be the advocate of Supermicro blade server product line for both internal audience and external customers
• Partner closely with Marketing, Engineering and Business Development to drive clear product strategy and provide comprehensive blade solutions to customers
• Drive the execute the product development milestones by working closely with development teams in order to deliver competitive blade products in a timely manner
• Must be hands on to assemble blade server prototype systems according to specification and drive technical issues to resolution
• Stay abreast of server technology industry developments and trends, and liaise between customers and internal development teams
• Create product overview, roadmap updates and competitive analysis collaterals and deliver to internal audience and external customers
• Work with Sales to engage with customers to convey our capabilities and advantages, and come up with solutions to address customers’ challenges and requirements

Qualifications:

• BSEE/CS or MSEE/CS with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in server system architecture
• Demonstrated ability in Product Management role, experience managing multiple products from initial concept through development to end-of-life
• Deep knowledge in server architecture, solutions and related technologies
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must, able to communicate effectively with executives both internal and customers
• Strong initiative and discipline, and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional organizations, and strong project management and multi-tasking skills

Salary Range

$162,000 - $182,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
