Job Summary:
We are seeking a field-proven Staff Data Center Solution Manager to support AI data center and AI factory assessments and deployment recommendations. This role owns the practical design, deployment, commissioning, and technical validation of high-density air- and liquid-cooling systems and contributes directly to Site Evaluation advisory work for capital investors.
This is a hands-on engineering position. The successful candidate will work directly with customers, consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams and must command respect in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) site meetings. The engineer will take systems from design through construction, commissioning, and sign-off.
You will work directly with our premier partners, vendors, and global integrators for the benefit of countries and companies that are adopting Sovereign AI and commercial AI factories at scale with our products. You must possess a deep understanding of how software interacts with high-performance hardware. You understand the nuances of powering and cooling state of the art equipment.
You will build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with customers and partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct international site evaluations and develop practical cooling and MEP solutions based on location, climate, elevation, humidity, and temperature cycles.
- Design complete air- and liquid-cooling systems, including cooling loops, heat exchangers, CDUs, pumps, piping, manifolds, valves, controls, and heat-rejection systems.
- Develop skid-based and modular cooling solutions for rapid global deployment.
- Produce detailed designs and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and professional engineering tools.
- Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical distribution (medium-voltage station level to rack), controls, BMS/EPMS, and rack-level infrastructure.
- Support construction, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, system sign-off, troubleshooting, and technical audits.
- Translate technical findings into clear risk, cost, schedule, and operational implications for capital-investor stakeholders during Site Evaluations.
- Establish repeatable engineering standards and digital design practices for global AI infrastructure deployment.
- Provide technical leadership and train other engineers and field teams.
- Work safely on active construction and data center sites, including use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong practical experience in data center cooling, liquid cooling, HVAC, hydronics, or comparable large-scale mechanical systems.
- Proven experience taking mechanical systems from design through construction and commissioning.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (or equivalent professional CAD/BIM tools).
- Deep understanding of pumps, piping, heat exchangers, cooling equipment, controls, and hydraulic/thermal systems.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and command credibility in MEP site meetings.
- Comfortable working independently in the field and making sound engineering decisions.
- Valid passport and ability to obtain international visas/work permissions without significant restrictions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to work on active construction sites and in data center environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct deployment experience with liquid-cooled data centers or high-density AI/GPU infrastructure.
- Experience with modular or skid-based mechanical systems.
- Commissioning, testing, adjusting, balancing, FAT, or SAT experience.
- Experience working with major data center OEMs, contractors, consultants, or system integrators.
- Multiple commercial-scale deployments involving data center cooling, liquid cooling, or comparable large fluid/mechanical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with power distribution interfaces and multi-discipline coordination on mission-critical projects.
Salary Range
$190,000 - $213,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
