We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical and commercially astute Staff Product Manager to lead the end-to-end development and execution of joint product initiatives with strategic alliance partners. This role is first and foremost a product management position—centered on defining product strategy, orchestrating collaborative product engineering, managing technical integration, and ensuring successful delivery of co-developed rack‑scale and AI‑optimized infrastructure solutions. Complementing this core product management mandate, the role carries a meaningful Business Alliance component, requiring you to identify, structure, and nurture partnerships with technology and solution providers to drive innovation, accelerate time‑to‑market, and expand Supermicro’s product portfolio through strategic collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Primary – Product Management & Alliance Product Development)

  • Lead End‑to‑End Joint Product Development – Own the full lifecycle of complex alliance‑based product development initiatives. Define product vision, create product roadmaps, and manage feature prioritization, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery of co‑developed solutions.
  • Orchestrate Cross‑Company Solution Development – Act as the central product coordinator bridging engineering teams across Supermicro and alliance partners. Facilitate technical alignment on architecture, interfaces, and integration points covering GPU platforms, power, cooling, networking topologies, and rack‑scale design.
  • Drive Technical Governance and Risk Mitigation – Lead joint technical review gates, ensuring design assumptions are validated, compliance requirements are met, and all technical dependencies (e.g., InfiniBand integration, thermal management, firmware interoperability) are clearly mapped and risk‑assessed prior to development milestones.
  • Manage Co‑Development Product Delivery – Oversee the transition from design to production, ensuring technical commitments made during the alliance formation phase are executable. Manage delivery timelines, technical milestones, and change orders to ensure co‑developed products meet performance, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Standardize Alliance Product Management Processes – Develop reusable templates, governance frameworks, and best practices for managing technical alliances, improving efficiency, consistency, and scalability across Supermicro’s partnership portfolio.

(Secondary – Business Development & Commercial Execution)

  • Drive Strategic Deal Support – Partner with senior sales and business development leaders to identify and pursue net‑new logo opportunities. Contribute to commercial negotiations and help articulate the business value of DCBBS solutions to customer decision‑makers.
  • Shape Customer‑Facing Technical Strategy – Engage directly with target accounts to understand their infrastructure roadmaps, influence technical requirements, and position our solutions as the preferred choice for their AI and data center needs.
  • Build and Nurture Ecosystem Relationships – Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders at strategic accounts and partner organizations, ensuring long‑term alignment and repeat engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.

Experience (12+ years) with a strong emphasis on:

  •   Product management of complex data center or AI infrastructure projects, with significant hands‑on experience managing co‑development initiatives, joint engineering programs, or multi‑party technical collaborations.
  •   Deep working knowledge of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, rack integration) and AI/HPC server architecture (GPU platforms, high‑speed networking).
  •   Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across organizational boundaries and manage product deliverables against aggressive development timelines.
  •   Demonstrated experience in structuring or managing alliance‑based development agreements is highly desirable.

 Skills:

  •   Exceptional organizational and project management skills; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  •   Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess partnership value, support deal structuring, and articulate technical value to both internal and external stakeholders.
  •   Strategic thinker who can balance near‑term execution with long‑term program scalability and ecosystem development.
  •   Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams and organizations.
  •   Self‑motivated team player who thrives in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments and is measured by both product execution quality and partnership outcomes.
