Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a passionate, energetic Staff Server Product Manager who can drive the development and lifecycle management of industry-leading AI/HPC/Enterprise server products (hardware and software). This role is perfect for a cutting-edge technology enthusiast with a passion for AI, machine learning, high-performance computing (HPC), GPU-accelerated workloads and Enterprise. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems (CPU and GPU based), you are expected to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication skills including research into vertical market solutions. You will be driving customer adoption of your products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- During the product development phase, drive a large portion of the engineering and validation effort for the new server product. This includes hardware and software hands-on work:
- Work with external partners (CPU, GPU, memory, drive manufacturers, etc.). This includes collecting and studying new collateral, specifications, updates, issues joint debugging, etc.
- Drive product management, from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Evangelize and position AI compute servers and AI infrastructure, with the goal of top-line growth in relevant vertical market segments and geographical regions.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and messaging.
- Support sales enablement with product training, collateral and technical documentation.
- Engage with customers at various levels. This includes problems solving, understand their challenges and requirements.
- Manage critical issues and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experiences
- 8-15 years of hands-on experience on system/server architecture is strongly desirable
Salary Range
$185,000 - $211,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
