Why This Role Matters:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for developing world class software to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust Software/Firmware products.

What You'll Do:

Proficient and expert in following Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Nvidia related Certification, System Qualification, Tools compliance
  • Acts as a Redfish Committee in driving Redfish conformance, compliance, and roadmap
  • Driving all Supermicro Software, Firmware, Tools conformance and compliance
  • Research, evaluate and integrate Supermicro Software/Firmware Solutions
  • Customer Related Requirements Review and Management
  • Emerging Technologies Certification, Compliance research and development program management
  • Drive high quality software development process, testing-in-production, and continuous integration/deployment
  • Effectively work with multiple stakeholders including clients and direct operations groups program and project managers
  • Manage the design, development, and operations of a team within our object storage group
  • Work with Product Managers consulting and customer technical team to research/gather/analyze business requirements
  • Own software resource strategy and planning, including strategic working relationships with external partners
  • Manage aspects of maintenance starting with resolving software bugs, managing delivery of software and working on customer escalations

What You'll Bring:

  • Master Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • 12+ years of related working experience in Redfish Standard, BMC, OpenBMC is preferred
  • Knowledge in protocols: IPMI, Redfish, SNMP, I2C, SPI, PMBUS.
  • Knowledge in Secured Boot, or ROT. 
  • Knowledge in TPM implementation. 
  • Knowledge in OCP remote Attestation Spec
  • Enterprise Product, Software Management=

Salary Range

$170,000 - $200,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
