Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for Staff Solution Architect to grow and expand the business opportunities of in-house cloud solutions from a technical perspective. Your goal is to engage, develop, and expand our customer portfolio in the cloud solutions. In this role, you will be representing Supermicro in major trade shows and conferences to network and meet with clients, and further developing the opportunity pipelines. You will also participate in products and solutions design, ensure new products incorporated the expectations and requirements from customers to increase business opportunity. This Job needs to work with different solutions VAR, and manage cloud solutions projects with them, and Supermicro inner teams.
This role will be based on our headquarters located in the San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Lead sales, FAE, and product team to design and engineer cloud solution proposals to influence and win enterprise customer
• Lead engineering, service and technical support organizations to resolve all customer issues ensuring operational excellence in post-sales system and technology deployments
• Design and define next-generation cloud solution architecture and work with product managers to manage product development cycles and customer delivery
• Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure product roadmap is competitive in the market
• Work closely with internal engineering team to ensure clients' expectations and requirements are incorporated in the new platform
• Ensure customer overall satisfaction, collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve clients' issues or concerns in a timely manner
• Write technical white papers related to prototypes as well as final resulting products
• Work w/ marketing to publish products and white paper on tech magazines, etc. and promote the final storage system.
• Must review SMCI systems and update cloud solution web content per quarter based on available market trends
• Co work with external different solutions VAR(SW, HW, Switch, Integration, service, etc.,) for customer RFQ/RFP, and project management with external, and inner teams
• Design, develop cloud solutions with external solutions providers, VAR, and Supermicro inner teams
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experiences. MBA is highly preferable
• At least 12 years of experience in business of cloud solutions with VAR and cloud solutions architect
• Strong knowledge in computer server HW, networking, cluster application software, cluster plate form, and benchmarks
• Experience in big cloud solutions project architect, and life cycle management
• Solid communication skills in both verbal and written
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills
• Strong executive presence with a track record of winning mid to large clients/business

Salary Range: $144,000 - $181,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
