Job Summary:
The System Engineer position provides an extraordinary opportunity to support our Engineering team. You will be responsible for SI/PI simulation and validation for server products in both board level and system level. This role will also help to check PCB layout, hardware design, and prevent potential risks of any SI and PI problem. This position will be located in San Jose, CA.

- Perform end-to-end signal simulation in the system level, including the fly-over cable.
- Cross work with signal validation team for a closed loop electrical assurance.
- Deep understanding of PCB material as well as insertion loss, return loss, near-end & far-end crosstalk.
- SerDes conceptual theory is a must; you are comfortable talking about NRZ and PAM4 with real practice.
- Had experience on power integrity is a plus, such as current density, iR voltage drop in the system level.
- Report hardware quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems.
- Expert technical knowledge of designing and implementing Server system.
- Support issue analysis and construct preventive actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or similar.
- 5+ years Hardware design experience preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience for pre-layout simulation and signal integrity testing including PCIE5 and DDR5 and USB3/4.
- Wide knowledge of PCB manufactures, PCB layout, Materials, Signals Integrity and Simulation software.
- Knowledge and experience for high-speed signal integrity in component/channel modeling by IBIS/AMI, SPICE, S-parameters and circuit/channel simulations by HSPICE, HFSS, SIwave and Agilent ADS is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience for power integrity in Power Distribution Network (PDN) DC voltage drop, DC current density, decoupling capacitors and AC transient by SIwave or Power DC is a plus.
- Experience for high-speed signal TDR, VNA and BERTscope measurements.
- Knowledge and experience of PCB layout tool Allegro.
Salary Range
$100,000 - $130,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
