Job Summary:
Supermicro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager. This position is responsible for the U.S. international aspects for over 20 foreign entities in support of the global tax provision, domestic tax compliance, tax controversy, and planning. The role requires subject matter expertise in subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, FDII, foreign currency matters, and M&A. The ideal candidate will have the personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing company in a rapidly evolving marketplace. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This position will be a member of the Finance team in the company’s headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Hands-on prepare quarterly and annual U.S. international (subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credit) calculations for inclusion into the global effective tax rate calculation
• Prepare Forms 5471, 8858 and 8865, and 1118
• Maintain supporting calculations and documentation of earnings and profits pools, tax pools, PTEP, and U.S. tax basis for foreign subsidiaries and/or branches
• Analyze and calculate taxable distributions,
• 78 gross-ups,
• 956 inclusions,
• 986(c) gains/losses,
• 987 gains/losses, subpart F income, ECI, etc.
• Determine and maintain supporting documentation for
• 861 allocations to foreign source income
• Prepare/review required elections and disclosures such as check-the-box elections, DCLs, etc.
• Support M&A projects, including tax due diligence, review of tax sections in acquisition agreements, and post-acquisition integration/compliance
• Monitor and analyze final and proposed tax legislation in coordination with the tax policy and advisory teams
• Assist US-outbound tax planning support for international operations including repatriation strategies, foreign tax credit optimization and local country tax planning opportunities
• Assist in tax controversy matters
• Support process improvement initiatives to increase overall efficiency of the U.S. International tax process
• Ensure internal control processes over the U.S. international tax function are properly performed and documented
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance and related field, Master of Taxation is a plus
- 5 years experience in Accounting Field
- Significant experience in financial reporting and domestic compliance for U.S. international tax matters, including Subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, and repatriation of foreign earnings
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team
- Resourcefulness and adaptability; self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with OneSource and SAP preferred

Salary Range: $128,000 - $171,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
