Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking an energetic, passionate and result-oriented VP, Hardware Engineering to join the team located in San Jose, CA. Already with a long history of delivering first-to-market, cutting-edge server and storage innovations, we are looking for a proven technology and business enablement leader to help us identify new technology ecosystem opportunities to support accelerated growth and expand into new markets, improve and streamline existing partnerships and help build a world-class technology enablement function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Manage the complex and dynamic relationship with large technology partners to deliver innovative total IT solutions to customers and make strong impacts on revenue growth
• Act as the business owner and leader to drive a large cross-company and cross-functional team to delight customers and enable Supermicro’s green computing technology across the world
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, solve problems with a sense of urgency
• Strong technical background and experience working in IT and data center environment. Familiar with server and storage products
• Supreme leadership and communications skills
• Passion, hard work and strong mindset – anything is possible
• Some travel required
Qualifications:
• Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering or business discipline; computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering preferred
• 17+ years in an IT or semiconductor industry with experience in at least one of the following roles: product/program/project management, FAE, technology alliance, business development, technology / solution enablement
• Experience in accelerator-based computing such as GPUs and FPGAs a strong plus
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills
• Strong executive presence with a track record of winning
• Solid communication skills in both verbal and written, able to communicate with high level (preferably C-level executive) clients effectively
• Strong leadership – able to manage multi-functional team with high efficiency, able to resolve complex issues and deliver results under pressure and stringent deadline
Salary Range
$261,000 - $306,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
