Job Summary:

Production Engineer is responsible for facilitate improvement projects and Kaizen (Rapid Continuous Improvement) events to eliminate waste and increase efficiencies in various functional areas of the manufacturing processes (manufacturing processes, yield improvements and cycle time improvements). The position will require skill sets to break down complex operations with a process oriented mindset, analyze and assist in the implementation of the plants strategic plan, provide project management support, employee training and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, optimize, and standardize server assembly and production processes to enhance throughput, minimize defects, and reduce costs.
  2. Support daily production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing issues, analyzing process data, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure the smooth introduction of new products and process changes.
  4. Lead process validation, equipment qualification, and pilot production runs for new server models ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S to enhance production efficiency and maintain a safe workplace.
  6. Maintain and update comprehensive production documentation including work instructions, process flow charts, and training materials.
  7. Monitor key production metrics and generate detailed reports to track performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure data integrity.
  8. Provide technical support and training to production operators and line leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with relevant certifications and substantial experience will also be considered.
  2. Preferably 3-5 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing process support, ideally within server or electronics manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of server hardware assembly, production workflows, and quality standards, including Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control.
  4. Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies; certification is preferred.
  5. Possess an analytical mindset with proven experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical software.
  6. Familiarity with server components (e.g., motherboard, CPU, memory, storage), assembly tools, and ESD control standards.
  7. Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP platforms is a plus.
  8. Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, shift-based production environment while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.
