Job Summary:

Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Production Engineering Manager to lead and guide our engineering team in supporting daily operations. In this role, you will drive process optimization, improve equipment performance, and ensure smooth execution of new product introductions. You will also oversee manufacturing standards, troubleshoot production challenges, and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve output, quality, and cost targets. This position plays a key role in maintaining stable operations while pushing for continuous improvement across the production floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Production Engineering Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of production engineers and technicians to support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with production standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee process control, equipment capability, and yield improvement initiatives.

2. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and sustain lean manufacturing practices (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Identify bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and execute corrective/preventive actions.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity enhancement through process automation and optimization.

3. New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, and Program Management to ensure smooth transfer of new products from prototype to mass production.
  • Develop manufacturing processes, assembly instructions, and test procedures for new models.
  • Coordinate production readiness reviews and validation builds.

4. Equipment and Tooling Management

  • Plan, procure, and maintain production equipment, jigs, and fixtures to support stable operations.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are executed and equipment downtime is minimized.
  • Work with suppliers to qualify new tools and materials.

5. Quality and Compliance

  • Support Quality and Operations teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards, ESD requirements, and environmental regulations (RoHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Lead investigations for production issues and implement permanent corrective actions.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Interface with Planning, Quality, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Communicate project timelines, risks, and updates to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background: Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electronic and Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Candidates with relevant certifications and a proven track record of engineering managerial experience will also be given strong consideration.
  2. Extensive Managerial Experience: Preferrable a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production or process engineering, including around of 3 years in leadership or managerial roles with demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  3. Technical Domain Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with server, PCBA, or electronic system assembly processes is preferable and will be considered an added advantage, especially for candidates who can demonstrate a strong technical understanding.
  4. Global Communication: Fluency in English with good communication skills is preferable to support effective collaboration with diverse international teams and stakeholders
  5. Advanced Methodologies: Proficient knowledge and practical exposure to Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and Design for Excellence (DFx) principles is preferable and would be an added advantage in supporting efficiency and quality initiatives.
  6. Leadership & Communication Prowess: Strong project management, good communication, and demonstrated leadership skills are preferable, especially for candidates who can effectively guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
