Job Summary:
Looking for a dynamic role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are hiring a Production Planning Manager to oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource management. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure smooth production flow, meet customer demand, and optimize throughput. This role also involves monitoring KPIs, maintaining accurate planning data, and leading a high-performing team to achieve operational targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Production Scheduling & Capacity Management
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets.
- Monitor Work In Process (WIP), lead times, and overall production progress.
- Implement agile adjustment plans to minimize disruptions and optimize throughput.
2. Demand Forecasting & Resource Planning
- Analyze forecasts, customer orders, and historical data to anticipate production requirements.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure material availability and balance capacity.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and recommend solutions to maintain smooth operations.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, yield, efficiency, and schedule adherence.
- Generate regular reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Communicate planning strategies, progress, and critical adjustments clearly across teams.
4. System Management & Data Integrity
- Ensure effective operation and continuous improvement of ERP and MES systems.
- Maintain high accuracy and integrity of production and planning data to support informed decisions.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to support smooth NPI and production flow.
- Facilitate communication across teams to ensure alignment on production plans and priorities.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the production planning team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferable. Candidates with relevant certifications and similar technical backgrounds, along with proven managerial experience, will also be given strong consideration
- Extensive Planning Experience: Experience in production planning—preferably around 5 years, including some leadership or managerial involvement—is preferred. Background in server or electronics manufacturing will provide added value to the candidate.
- System Proficiency: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems is preferable, along with a good understanding of production control processes. The ability to leverage these systems for planning and optimization will be considered an added advantage.
- Global Communication: Good proficiency in English, with strong communication skills, is preferable to support effective collaboration with diverse international teams and stakeholders
- Leadership & Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities are preferable. Candidates who can demonstrate the capacity to lead teams, make data-informed decisions, and clearly convey complex planning strategies will be given added consideration.
- Strategic Ownership & Detail Orientation: Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and attention to detail are preferable. Candidates who can drive initiatives from conception to completion while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality will be considered an added advantage
