Job Summary:

The Treasury Analyst supports daily treasury operations, including cash management, payments processing, and funding activities. The role monitors cash flow, prepares reports, and assists with forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity. It also ensures compliance with internal controls and policies while maintaining accurate records and supporting audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Cash Management

  1. Monitor daily cash balances to support operational needs and maintain sufficient liquidity levels where required.
  2. Prepare daily cash position reports to provide visibility into liquidity and support decision-making as appropriate.
  3. Support cash pooling activities, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations to help ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  4. Assist in developing short-term cash flow forecasts to support funding and investment planning where possible.
  5. Review bank service fees and transaction costs periodically to identify potential cost optimization opportunities.

 

2) Payments & Funding

  1. Process and validate vendor and intercompany payments in accordance with established procedures and timelines where applicable.
  2. Support funding requirements by coordinating with internal stakeholders and financial institutions as needed.
  3. Assist in the settlement of foreign currency (FX) transactions and support basic currency exposure management activities.
  4. Contribute to month-end treasury reporting and analysis, including preparation of supporting schedules and variance explanations.
  5. Support the maintenance of corporate banking relationships and system access to ensure smooth operational processes.

 

3) Compliance & Controls

  1. Follow internal controls, SOX guidelines, and treasury policies as applicable, supporting a controlled and compliant environment.
  2. Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries as required.
  3. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for treasury-related activities to enhance transparency and governance.
  4. Support segregation of duties and compliance practices within treasury processes to help mitigate operational risks

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferable. Candidates with relevant experience or alternative qualifications may also be considered.
  2. Around 1–3 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking operations is preferred, and additional relevant exposure would be an added advantage.
  3. Prior experience in multinational environments or large corporate settings is advantageous and adds value to the candidate’s profile.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is preferred, and familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle would be an added advantage.
  5. A general understanding of financial instruments, foreign exchange, and cash management practices is desirable.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail in financial reporting, are highly valued.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams or regions, are preferable.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment is beneficial, particularly when supporting reporting timelines or audit activities.
  9. Professional certifications such as CTP, CFA, ACCA, or CPA are a plus and would provide added value to the candidate.
